法國歐尚集團成立于1961年，是以經營大型綜合超市為主的國際商業集團，目前在法國排名第二位，在歐洲排名第六位。2002年的營業額達260億美元，《財富》雜志2002年全球500強中名列第162位。

該集團為家族控股公司，法國米里曳家族控股83.7%，雇員持股16.22%。歐尚集團的主要業態為大型超市、超級市場、便利店，同時涉及加工生產和金融業。目前在全世界擁有300多個大型超級市場、600多個超級市場、600多個便利店。員工人數達16萬。歐尚超市以零售為主，其商品的60%為食品。歐尚集團的經營理念是以為消費者提供廉價的商品和服務、改善消費者的購買能力和提高生活水平為目標。
